Rancho Zabaco

Russian River Valley

Just beyond the south end of Dry Creek Valley, the Russian River turns to the west and heads to the sea. The Russian River Valley is closer to the ocean, and therefore cooler, than most of Sonoma County's wine country, and the region defines itself by the frequent and persistent marine fog that blankets its vineyards overnight. Sauvignon Blanc prospers here, developing a fresh, crisp acid structure from the long, cool season, and ripe tropical fruit flavors from the abundant sunshine.

Finishing techniques are applied for a clear, stable wine that is packed with flavor. More notes.
